Greetings Friend

Welcome to my first news letter. I've chosen change as my theme. It doesn't matter who you are, change is always happening. So what is different from yesterday? Your work, your living situation, your health, your music? And speaking of music as feelings, does it flow around easily for you? We often let personal situations affect our mood and as a result I think we change ourselves. Perhaps the following examples of dynamic change will help us be more open to change. Let me know what you think.

Painting Your Music

"Painting Your Music" is the title of my web site theme and I'd say it's about a universal idea that each of us creates his or her own life picture. Along the road we learned some "painting" skills while we experimented and took risks. I still do. Everyone's picture is unique despite society's pressure on us to conform and paint within the lines so to speak. So how is your picture coming along? Are there lots of colours and shapes? Is there anything you'd like to change?

Retirement Changes

Many of my April early boomer companions will be entering retirement this coming spring. We had to deal with the effects of technology on industry in the 1990's by retraining ourselves so now we anticipate more changes. Will we be able to afford that trip and still keep the car? We might be connected to a long term care facility, a residential community, living alone or with loved ones. Whatever the case who would disagree that a sense of harmony in all things is important for our health? As the future unfolds I want to be sure that my ability to choose will never change.

The Charm of Niagara

Recently, I found this heirloom amongst my parents' memorabilia post marked 1905 . No doubt people from both sides of the Niagara River are gathered together in this unique place. It all looks like an enjoyable sense of community. I don't see any shelters except for the steam powered covered elevator at left. An ice bridge is the physical connector but this situation must have created opportunities for lasting connections between citizens of two nations living adjacent to this river border. I'm always inspired by Niagara's charm. It never seems to change. Look for my January issue.
