A Guided Journey with Sound
A program of natural (e.g. robin, cricket, thunderstorm, forest stream) and man-made sounds ( e.g. horse drawn carriage, steam locomotive). I recorded these nostalgia songs from original sheet music for piano. My goal in sharing the collection with others is to communicate an appreciation and perhaps a sense of the importance of these melodies in musical history. Ultimately, the collection becomes a tool to help maintain a quality of life for our seniors. U.S. and U.K. libraries granted permission to use the sounds in a production and to distribute a limited number of copies per year. This agreement is validated as long as the CDs are not sold. | Carolina in the Morning | Down By the Old Mill Stream | If You Were the Only Girl |
| Let Me Call You Sweetheart | School Days | April Showers |
| Home on the Range | Meet Me Tonight in Dreamland | In the Good Old Summer Time |

"I love my new CD! Thank you so much. I listened to it immediately when I returned from Florida. Why did I think you played guitar? The piano was unexpected but really enjoyable. I prefer it to the guitar. I loved all the different sounds too. The train especially was fun to hear. Trains don't sound like that any more." Alvah Parker
"As a dementia consultant I have a pretty good idea how people with any type of dementia may respond to an auditory stimulation such as this. People in all stages of dementia can benefit in a positive way from listening to this CD." Cindy Keith RN,BS,CDP
